TIPS FOR SAFE USE OF BUNK BEDS
Bunk beds, of course, are not ordinary beds and the elevated design is an essential part of the bunk beds. So health is obviously a matter of using a bunk bed. Although, the bunk beds are made with all the safety features. By view of the health policy for the use of beds, the risk of injury would certainly be that.
Bunk beds need assembly. It is therefore best to use the services of assembly technicians, which are typically provided by the manufacturers. Avoid experimenting with assembling the bunk beds. If you are not understanding the “Follow Instructions” and call the manufacturer for the help.
When you are buying the mattresses separately and not from the bunk bed manufacturers, do not forget to ensure that surface of the mattress is minimum 5 inches below the upper edge of the guardrails. Here manufacturers’ recommendations for mattress size are advisable to follow.
Avoid children below 6 years to sleep on the upper bed. Make sure the ladder is securely and safely fixed to the wall. Avoid more than one person to sleep on the upper bed.
